Barcelona Life: Sand, Steps, and Date Nights

We have all said multiple times since arriving in Barcelona how much we are loving life here. Barcelona is beautiful! It’s a bustling city that is so full of life, but doesn’t feel too congested. It is easy to navigate and with the park and beach close we get the doses of nature we all crave. Our Airbnb continues to be extremely comfortable! We’ve enjoyed completing all the puzzles here and have all gotten into a great workout routine. After being here for almost two weeks, we can all agree we picked a great spot to end our year!

Sand Between Our Toes

Dave and I have started a routine of walking to the beach in the early morning while the kids are still sleeping. It’s been fantastic! It’s less crowded and very relaxing. We’ve also gone several times as a family. We bought a rugby ball to play catch with (couldn’t find a football), and love walking along the beachfront promenade. The beach is extremely crowded most days, but we can still find a spot, and the people watching is pretty entertaining.

From the Park to the Streets

At some point during most days we find ourselves at the Ciutadella Park. I knew this park would be a place where we would spend a lot of time. Whether we are walking inside the park, running around the outside of it, or just playing catch – it’s a great place to be.

I don’t think we will ever tire of walking around the streets of the city as well. This street is absolutely stunning!

Barcelona at Night

Barcelona is known for it’s night life scene. We often hear people outside our condo partying at three in the morning. Dave and I have enjoyed several date nights lately. We don’t stay out until 3am, but nonetheless it’s been fun!

Countdown to Summer

We start our last week of school tomorrow. I can’t believe it! In addition to wrapping up a few things, we have a lot of fun stuff planned. The weather has slowly started to warm up since we’ve been here and it’s really starting to feel like summertime now.
